How long till this blows up on the cable networks?
Three Yale University students were arrested early Tuesday morning for burning an American flag on a pole attached to a house in New Haven, the Yale Daily News reported today.
[ . . . ]
Mr. Anklesaria was identified as a British subject and Mr. Angelopoulos as a citizen of Greece. Mr. Akbar was born in Pakistan and is a naturalized American citizen, the newspaper said.
I expect it will provide fodder for days . . .

Dumbasses.
Yeah, it’s their right to burn the flag. But these mental midgets are AT YALE. They are getting a high-quality AMERICAN education. Stop bitching, Mr. Anklesaria. If you don’t like America, go back to GB and try to get into Oxford. Of course, they’re probably terrified you’ll burn their flag, too.

On a pole attached to a house?! What a bunch of dumbasses! And what if the flames had jumped to the house and someone had been killed or injured? Thanks guys, I’m feeling a lot less inferior about having not gone to Yale. Stupid non-Ivy ordinary college graduates like me usually know enough not to set fire to something which is ATTACHED TO A HOUSE.

I suspect that they weren’t the most sober of people when deciding this was a great idea - asking cops for directions home at 3am?
But I’m sure that it won’t stop an avalanche of assumptions and “Go back to . . .” a la Dannyboy.

Hey, found your blog linked from the Yale page at http://www.mychances.net/ and I like what you’ve got.
Flag burning is protected speech, but this was not an act of speech. It was not a public demonstration, but a simple act of arson on private property. Arson is not protected speech. They don’t need to “go back to wherever”, but they do need to be prosecuted criminally.
