The institute called Swanson &#8220;a true spirit of friendship&#8221; in a memorial statement on its website.<\/p>\n<p>Her co-workers and r\u00c3\u00a9sum\u00c3\u00a9 paint a picture of a bright, young woman who loved international affairs and travel.<\/p>\n<p>She founded a chapter of the Progressive Student Alliance at Amherst in 2003.
