{"id":1014,"date":"2008-07-09T17:51:12","date_gmt":"2008-07-09T21:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/?p=1014"},"modified":"2008-07-09T17:51:12","modified_gmt":"2008-07-09T21:51:12","slug":"senate-democrats-fail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2008\/07\/09\/senate-democrats-fail\/","title":{"rendered":"Senate Democrats FAIL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m going to have to wait a couple of days to write about what epic failures some congressional Democrats have managed to become.\u00c2\u00a0 Greenwald <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/opinion\/greenwald\/2008\/07\/09\/fisa_vote\/index.html\">notes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>when the Congress was controlled by the GOP &#8212; when the Senate was run by Bill Frist and the House by Denny Hastert &#8212; the Bush administration attempted to have a bill passed very similar to the one that just passed today. But they were <a href=\"http:\/\/glenngreenwald.blogspot.com\/2006\/09\/serious-problems-for-white-house-in.html\" target=\"_blank\">unable to do so<\/a>.
