{"id":1437,"date":"2008-10-13T10:51:58","date_gmt":"2008-10-13T14:51:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/?p=1437"},"modified":"2008-10-13T13:31:22","modified_gmt":"2008-10-13T17:31:22","slug":"riding-the-gw-parkway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2008\/10\/13\/riding-the-gw-parkway\/","title":{"rendered":"Riding the GW Parkway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Washcycle has an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewashcycle.com\/2008\/10\/biking-on-the-1.html\">interesting review of whether or not one can legally ride on the George Washington Memorial Parkway<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It appears that it <em>is not legal<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">legal, but that hasn&#8217;t stopped Park Police from claiming otherwise<\/span> (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankmail.com\/Fred\/Rt2Road.html#Forester\">occasionally citing people for it<\/a>).\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 In the past year or so, I&#8217;ve taken to riding on the Parkway between Mt.
