{"id":2205,"date":"2009-01-06T11:10:13","date_gmt":"2009-01-06T16:10:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/?p=2205"},"modified":"2009-01-06T13:27:28","modified_gmt":"2009-01-06T18:27:28","slug":"tsa-and-jet-blue-pay-for-stupidity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2009\/01\/06\/tsa-and-jet-blue-pay-for-stupidity\/","title":{"rendered":"TSA and Jet Blue Pay for Stupidity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been a little free with the words &#8220;stupid&#8221; and &#8220;idiocy&#8221; here of late, especially <a href=\"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2009\/01\/02\/another-reason-to-avoid-airtran\/\">in connection with the recent behavior of AirTran<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The discussion that followed in the comments turned to whether or not it was worth it to stand up in the face of stupidity, especially when that stupidity came under the guise of &#8220;security.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 Well, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boingboing.net\/2009\/01\/05\/jetblue-and-tsa-pay.html\">it was worth it for this fellow<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>JetBlue and the TSA have settled a lawsuit brought by a man who was refused boarding on an airplane because he was wearing a shirt with Arabic writing on it (the TSA said that this was like &#8220;wearing a T-shirt at a bank stating, &#8216;I am a robber.'&#8221;).
