{"id":3282,"date":"2009-09-19T19:23:47","date_gmt":"2009-09-19T23:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/?p=3282"},"modified":"2009-09-19T19:23:47","modified_gmt":"2009-09-19T23:23:47","slug":"this-photo-is-lying-to-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2009\/09\/19\/this-photo-is-lying-to-you\/","title":{"rendered":"This Photo Is Lying To You"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/blacknell\/3448927323\/sizes\/l\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3390\/3448927323_2f1e932397.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the title of <a href=\"http:\/\/outside.away.com\/outside\/culture\/200909\/digital-photography-1.html?imw=Y\">this article<\/a> in the latest issue of Outside magazine.\u00c2\u00a0 The subject &#8211; the manipulation of photos &#8211; is something I&#8217;ve long thought about, but had given more consideration this year, as I started posting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/blacknell\/3470446309\/sizes\/l\/\">photos I&#8217;ve heavily processed<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 What made this article particularly interesting to me was the subject matter.\u00c2\u00a0 The author created a composite photo of surfing on Oahu&#8217;s North Shore that reflected &#8220;<span>how surfing feels to me.
