Fawell.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Topic - Michael J. Fawell\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.timesdispatch.com\/topics\/types\/person\/tags\/michael-j-fawell\/\">Fawell<\/a>, 38, struck the passenger side of a pickup truck driven by\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Topic - Gerald Lee Anderson\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.timesdispatch.com\/topics\/types\/person\/tags\/gerald-lee-anderson\/\">Gerald Lee Anderson<\/a>, 70, of the 600 block of Nelwood Road in\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Topic - Goochland County\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.timesdispatch.com\/topics\/types\/provinceorstate\/tags\/goochland-county\/\">Goochland County<\/a>, and died from massive\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Topic - Head Trauma\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.timesdispatch.com\/topics\/types\/medicalcondition\/tags\/head-trauma\/\">head trauma<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0at\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Topic - Vcu Medical Center\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.timesdispatch.com\/topics\/types\/organization\/tags\/vcu-medical-center\/\">VCU Medical Center<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0in Richmond on Aug. 29, four days after the crash.<\/p>\n<p>General District Judge Peter L. Trible said adverse weather, including driving rain, lightning and near darkness, did not absolve Anderson of his duty to yield to Fawell as Anderson turned left into Rockville Center on Pouncey Tract Road, apparently crossing in front of Fawell.<\/p>\n<p>The judge fined Anderson $30.
