Combine days of fever, a raw cough, and poison ivy all over for an <em>especially<\/em> good time.\u00c2\u00a0 Off for a weekend in Raleigh, shortly, and I am working hard to convince myself that I&#8217;ll be all better when I get back.<\/p>\n<p>~<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a big fan of Larry Lessig, and think that he can be credited with a good chuck of the progress we&#8217;ve made in imparting the importance of IP laws to the general public.  He always found a way to get to the core of the issue in a plain and understandable way, without dumbing it down.  So I&#8217;m at something of a loss to explain the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wired.com\/27bstroke6\/2008\/03\/stanford-law-pr.html\">extraordinary naivet\u00c3\u00a9<\/a> that he seems to be demonstrating with his new <a href=\"http:\/\/change-congress.org\/\">Change Congress<\/a> project.\u00c2\u00a0 I think maybe he&#8217;s been hanging out with us techno\/law dorks too long.<\/p>\n<p>~<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/pharyngula\/2008\/03\/expelled.php\">Brilliant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>~<\/p>\n<p>Had a chance to sit down with <a href=\"http:\/\/amit08.com\">Amit Singh<\/a> earlier this week.\u00c2\u00a0 This fellow Arlingtonian recently announced for the Republican primary for the 8th Congressional District seat (yep, he wants to run against Rep. Jim Moran).\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;d hoped to get our interview up this week, but it looks like I&#8217;ll have to push it to next week.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;ll be worth it, I think &#8211; he&#8217;s not the kind of Republican we&#8217;ve been hearing from over the past 8 years.<\/p>\n<p>~<\/p>\n<p>Among the many things I didn&#8217;t do (that I should have) this week was point you to <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.vivianpaige.com\/2008\/03\/14\/on-ferraro\/\">Vivian Paige&#8217;s take<\/a> on Geraldine Ferraro&#8217;s words.\u00c2\u00a0 Well worth reading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking forward to the end of a most miserable week.
