Heller will be amongst the very last set of cases to be announced.\u00c2\u00a0 According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotusblog.com\/wp\/\">Scotusblog<\/a>, there&#8217;s some thought that there may be no majority opinion, but a plurality decision.\u00c2\u00a0 Just what we need.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve described my <a href=\"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2007\/03\/09\/dc-gun-ban-overturned\/\">mixed<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2008\/03\/18\/dc-gun-case-a-brief-clarification-of-context\/\">feelings<\/a> about both positions (collective v. individual right to bear arms) here before, but I thought that &#8211; no matter which way the Court went &#8211; we&#8217;d at least get some settling of the issue, and the states could react appropriately (and with confidence).<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see.<\/p>\n<p>(Update: and so we see &#8211; there is an individual right to bear arms.\u00c2\u00a0 More <a href=\"https:\/\/blacknell.net\/dynamic\/2008\/06\/26\/you-have-an-individual-right-to-bear-arms\/\">here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looks like DC v.
