Chris Isaak’s Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing is his second hottest video. Imagine that.

The first time I heard this next track, I thought it was Chris Isaak. In fact, it’s Jace Everett, singing Bad Things. Apologies for the cheeseball graphic – YouTube beggars can’t be choosers.

Found Everett through HBO’s new True Blood series. Here’s the opening segment featuring Bad Things. I’m a complete sucker for Southern Gothic.
Finally, we have one of the Butthole Surfers’ best works – Whatever (I Had a Dream Last Night) (set to a fanvid using the beginning of Donnie Darko):

Fiona Apple’s Criminal would have made an appearance tonight, but you can thank Sony for stopping that. So instead, here’s a rather inspired derivative work involving April Stevens’ (1959!) Teach Me, Tiger:

I think this might be the best Saturday edition yet. Chris (yes, we’re on a first name basis), Jace Everret, and Fiona Apple? Very nice.
Some of those 50s songs can quite an eye-opener, can’t they?
And Butthole Surfers takes me back to college (in general; I think that particular song came out after I graduated)…good times.

Glad you enjoyed it.
Fiona, she’s at least half of my Low Country (South Carolina) soundtrack. Everyone loves a crazy girl, right? Until you have to live with her, anyway.

That Butthole Surfers track comes from the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack (a treasure trove of talent). That movie, for me, defined my 90s. Screw Singles.

Oh, yeah, R+J soundtrack is awesome, as I recall; it’s been ages since I listened to it. I’ll have to dig it out. Didn’t they come out with a follow-up soundtrack CD, a part two kind of deal?
(You mean Jerry MacGuire wasn’t the defining one for you? I am shocked, I tell you, shocked!)

Living with the crazy girl may be the best part of the deal, actually. Well, for the crazy girl anyway.

I should have known you were watching True Blood too. And you’re not the only one looking up songs from the soundtrack.

True Blood music. Who knew an official site could be so useful?
True Blood
I love True Blood and I can’t wait until season 2 to start again in the summer. The songs used in each episode are great and the title of each episode is based on a song which is based on a certain them in the episode. Have to say it again True Blood is a grat show! Hey, check out this great site for the latest True Blood news: http://truebloodnet.com.
