Politics, open government, and safe streets. And the constant incursion of cycling.

A Different Place

Just returned from a very satisfying week in southern Utah (I know, right?). A write up (explaining my conversion to Zionism (!!)) and pictures to follow, but for now:

    Gorgeous.
    J. wants you to know that the rocks look like two people standing outside of their castle. He also noted it was “very interesting and lots of hues of blues.”

  2. My high school band took a trip out that way in 1980: Dead Horse Point, etc. Some of the most magnificent scenery I have ever seen.

I know, right? I made my first trip out to southern Utah in April, fell in love with it to my complete shock, and made a promise to myself to return every year. I can’t wait to read about your experience.

Pictures soon, I hope. And thanks for mentioning the Narrows. I probably would have skipped that but for your getting me to look into it. Ended up soloing it on Wednesday. And so glad I did (unfortunately, I didn’t do it with my SLR. So low-res Treo shots were all I got.)
