So many alt-country and acoustic covers of hip-hop hits have been done that I wish they’d just stop (and I say that as a fan of all three genres). But nothing will ever measure up to this *brilliant* effort, which must have been among the first, recorded in the mid 90s. As usual, this has been mislabled by the service I’m using – this is The Gourds covering Snoop Dogg’s Gin & Juice:
